About a 20 minute walk away is kennack sands, which has the blue flag award for cleanliness. It is made up of two coves with the far one allowing dogs all year. The beach is safe and at low tide there are plenty of rock pools to explore, the beach is life guarded in the main season and there is a good surf school if you fancy catching a wave or two, there's also a good beach cafe called Turbos, serving hearty breakfasts and snacks all day, try some of the coffees they're delicious. Poltesco is also nearby and well worth a look at, reached via the beautiful Poltesco valley with its old mill. It's a pebble beach, with the remains of an old serpentine works on it. Just one and a half miles away lies the picture postcard fishing village of Cadgwith, which has a wonderful traditional Cornish pub, complete with Friday night singing ; a must for any visitor. Cadgwith itself is a host to numerous fishing competitions and fish barbeques throughout the summer..There are masses of attractions nearby too including Flambards theme park, Gweek seal sanctuary, Cornish Camels, Goonhilly Future World, Poldark Mine to name but a few, our reception carries details for these with some money off vouchers too! No visitor to the peninsula should leave before seeing Lizard Point, the most southerly point in Britain.

We aren't too hard to find. Leave Helston heading towards the Lizard, passing Culdrose Air Base. At the first roundabout after Culdrose take the left hand road towards st keverne, follow it all the way past Goonhilly Earth Station until you get to the crossroads, turn right towards kennack sands, after a few miles you'll find yourself in Kuggar, we are on the left after the corner. Drive on in following the fences for 300m until the track opens up into the meadow, you've made it.
