Cumbria, Ambleside

Spacious site with spectacular views of the Great Langdale Valley

Nestled at the entrance to the stunning Great Langdale Valley at the heart of the Lake District, Baysbrown Farm Campsite offers space, serenity and stunning views. The campsite is located on a working farm just a few miles from Ambleside in the village of Chapel Stile. Grasmere and Hawkeshead are also close by.
The campsite is a walker and climber’s paradise surrounded by several renowned routes, including Bowfell, Crinkle Crags, The Langdale Pikes and Scafell Pike. It is also a good base for exploring the area, which is home to beautiful villages, valleys and woodlands.

Baysbrown Farm Campsite does not have set pitches and you pitch where you like and can park next to your tent. There are no hard-standing pitches or electric hook-ups. Basic facilities include solar-powered showers, toilets, washing up room and drinking water.
While the site is basic, the location makes up for it, offering a broad range of relaxing activities. Enjoy free fishing on the park’s lakes and rivers, woodland walks, boules, and a nine-hole pitch and putt course. There are two excellent pubs within walking distance of the campsite, as well as several restaurants and supermarkets that can be reached by bicycle or car.
