Church Stile's Wasdale Campsite nestles in a traditional Lakeland oak woodland setting with stunning views to the Screes mountain range. Covering about 7 acres in total the campsite provides a large level camping ground interspersed with carefully planted trees and flowering shrubs.We are a small, family run friendly campsite predominantly catering for families, couples and walkers. For many years, Church Stile Holiday Park & Campsite has been awarded the David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award for continued commitment to conservation and the environment.Specifically the main features of our Laked District Holiday Park and Campsite are: Fully fitted shower block with disabled facilities & laundry (link to facilities page) Pitches for up to 70 tents 17 Electric hook-up pitches Р must be pre-booked to avoid disappointment Car parking by your tent Hardstanding pitches for motorhomes/ campervans Childrens play area with swings and climbing frames Separate grassed ball games area Picnic tables located throughout Adjoining oak woodland with woodland paths Low level lighting to assist in hours of darkness BBQ/fire pits available to hire (wood sold on site) Dogs are allowed (maximum 2 per pitch & must be kept on a lead)In order to maintain the peace and tranquillity of this unspoilt corner of the Lake District, no loud music is permitted and we ask that noise is kept to a minimum after 10:30pm.

From the South Leave the M6 at Junction 36. Follow signs to Barrow-in-Furness and Ulverston (A590). Before reaching Ulverston turn right onto the A5092 at Greenodd (Sign posted Western Lake District, Whitehaven and Workington). The A5092 merges with the A595 and continue on this road following signs for Whitehaven/Workington. A few miles north of Ravenglass you will come to the village of Gosforth. Turn right into the village. Follow signs for Nether Wasdale (approx 3.5 miles). Coming down the hill into Nether Wasdale you will pass between 2 pubs and than a small church on your left. The turning to Church Stile Holiday Park and Campsite is immediately beyond the Church. From the North Leave the M6 at Junction 40 and take the A66 towards Keswick and Cockermouth. At Cockermouth take the A5086 signposted Egremont. The A5086 joins the A595 and follow this south past Egremont. A few miles south of the village of Calderbridge you will come to the village of Gosforth and turn left into the village. Passing through the village follow signs to Nether Wasdale as above. From the East From Ambleside take the A593 towards Coniston and then head towards Eskdale over Wrynose Pass and Hardknott Pass. Beware it is a single track road with passing places but the scenery is stunning.
