We are a small family-run venture, consisting of just the one Shepherd’s Hut, which offers you the opportunity to escape from your busy life and hectic daily schedule by retreating to the comfort of our secluded farm in the heart of the Mid Devon countryside. You will enjoy peace and privacy as you will be the only guests at East Coombe Farm, having sole access to ‘Tom Clarke’s Hayfield’ where the Shepherd’s Hut is situated. Perfect for romantic retreats. Upon arrival, you will be treated to a Devon Cream Tea with our compliments, allowing you the opportunity to relax after your journey while enjoying the delights of a locally made scone with lashings of cream and jam, washed down with a nice cup of tea. Later, you may wish to have a BBQ or choose a dish from our menu to enjoy whilst sat in front of the fire pit, listening to the evening birdsong. Or perhaps you’d like to visit one of our local pubs or restaurants to sample their fine cuisine. That is likely to be the hardest decision you’ll need to make during your stay with us. We aim to make your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible.

Location
Train – Exeter St Davids is only 20 minutes away and we offer a free collect and drop off service. To reach our Devon Shepherd's Hut by Sat Nav please type in the street name, 'East Coombe Lane' and the postcode 'EX17 4AY'. It is important to put both in otherwise you will end up at our neighbour's house half a mile away! Directions from the M5 (southbound). Leave M5 at junction 27 (you will be about 1/2 hour away at this point) and take the 3rd exit towards Tiverton/Barnstaple onto the A361. After approximately 5 mins, take the slip road towards Bickleigh/Tiverton A396. Bypass Tiverton and follow signs for Bickleigh/Crediton A3072. When you reach the Trout pub and the Fisherman's Cot pub at Bickleigh turn right on to the A3072 heading towards Crediton. Keep on this road for about 10 mins until you come to a crossroads (left is Stockleigh Pomeroy and right is Cheriton Fitzpaine). Turn left at this crossroads and take the 2nd left turning up the hill. This is East Coombe Lane and we live in the first white house that you come to on the left about 1/2 mile down the lane Drop in here first and Zara will show you the way to the Shepherd's Hut. From Exeter take the A377 towards Crediton. Go past Bernaville Nurseries on your left and travel up the road for 300 metres. Take the next right over a bridge onto Langford Road. Travel for a good 5 minutes to the end of this road and you will reach a 'T' junction, turn left and immediately right. Travel for two miles until you reach a steep hill. Continue up and over the brow of the hill. Take the first right hand turning half way down the other side signposted ‘East Coombe’. We live in the first white house that you come to on the left. Drop in here first and Zara will take you to the Shepherd’s Hut.
