Surrounded by Epping Forest in Loughton, Essex, Debden House is a residential adult education college, conference centre and campsite. Owned and operated by the Newham London Borough Council, the campsite is conveniently situated just half-an-hour from London Central, making it an ideal base to explore London, Essex and the Home Counties.
The campground offers several camping fields spread over 50 acres of land with over 350 pitches for caravans, campervans and tents. The site has special facilities for set camps for youth groups, schools and larger bookings.
Debden House Campsite offers 375 pitches, some with electric hookups across seven fields, including four fire fields. Onsite facilities include modern toilet blocks with hot showers, washing up areas, and laundry facilities. An onsite shop sells groceries and camping essentials and two children’s play areas provide a safe space and play equipment for the kids.
Open fires are allowed with individual dug out pits available around the campsite. Bags of wood and kindling are available to purchase for pleasant bonfire evening. The campsite has 24-hour security for peace of mind and a café serves delicious home-cooked food for those who don’t feel like cooking.
