Isle Of Wight, Newport
This small exclusive site gets its name from the historic Windmill, that History leads us to believe was the source of water which used to supply Carisbrooke Castle with spring water in the 11th century onwards. Today there is a filled in well of enormous depth which marks the spot! The natural spring water still runs which forms the first clatterford between the farm and the castle. Today, a section of this field is used for our small quirky glamping site, campsite, with a close by grazing horse and a small antique centre to browse should you wish. Nearby attractions: With walks from the site through the clatterford streams with open access to fields around the moat of Carisbrooke Castle (5 minutes away) and the village with local shops and public houses. Newport (20 minutes walk) is the main town on the Isle of Wight with a range of facilities, including cinema, range of pubs, shops etc and the main bus terminal on the island. The site is approximately 20 minutes drive from any beach on the island! Our pitch point is that we would like to keep this site small and exclusive and hence why we only have facilities to cater for upto 20 units at any one time, so bookings well in advance maybe a good idea!
