North Yorkshire, York

More Photos

We bought Greenwick Farm in 2005 and have since completely refurbished the large Victorian house and garden to provide stunning accommodation and a lovely family home. Our elegant, double-aspect guest lounge overlooks both the dale and the garden and is well stocked with books, walks, maps and lots of useful information to help you explore this beautiful part of Yorkshire. Of course, we're always on-hand to share our local knowledge and advise you on routes, places to visit and the best spots to eat and drink. If you're heading out on foot, bike or horseback for the day, why not pre-order one of our packed lunches which are crammed with tasty treats. If the weather takes a turn for the worse, our drying room is on hand to rescue soggy boots and rucksacks.Should you fancy a cosy night in, we have plenty of games, paperbacks and magazines, while the TVs in your bedroom and guest lounge have Freeview channels. Free WiFi is available throughout the house. If you find the village pub beckoning, we're happy to recommend our personal favourites from the tempting menu at the Wolds Inn , should you arrive at Greenwick Farm on foot or in the saddle, we'll happily drive you to there too. During your stay, we hope you'll find time to walk the grounds and enjoy its wonderful bird life. Buzzards and the occasional red kite soar across the tree tops while our owl box has been home to a brood of Tawny owls for many years. Woodpeckers, pheasants and partridges are also among the residents in our garden and in the fields surrounding Greenwick Farm.
