A rural retreat on a pretty Georgian farm on the Northamptonshire / North Oxfordshire border
Set on a Georgian farm on the Northamptonshire / North Oxfordshire border, Glamping Thorpe is tranquil and relaxing retreat. Offering a variety of accommodation from a handcrafted gypsy caravan to a traditional shepherd’s hut, the campsite is surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside.
Conveniently located a mile from the nearest village and a short walk to the local pub, the intimate glamping site is ideally situated located for exploring rural Oxfordshire.
Glamping Thorpe offers guests a choice of comfortable, fully-equipped accommodation, ranging from a handcrafted gypsy caravan, a traditional shepherd’s hut, a ‘glamped-up’ Bedford horse lorry, a unique spotty red caravan and two large bell tents.
Quirky amenities include an old horse trailer that has been converted into a spacious shower room with loo and wash basin, and a separate compost loo built like a tipi. Campfires are allowed, but if you don’t feel like cooking, wander across the fields to the local pub, which offers delicious food and drinks. Party the night away in the converted pig shed with couches, disco lights, a Bluetooth sound system and an outside fire pit and barbeque.
