Les Amiaux is a lively camping and caravan site set in a 30 acre park beside a pine forest. A 800 yard woodland path leads to a wide sandy beach. The site has been specially designed with your children in mind, to ensure a perfect family holiday. Les Amiaux has 544 pitches; half of them are touring pitches where you can easily set up a tent or a caravan with an awning. Likes: The campsite was excellent apart from the experience with the lifeguard - see comments below

Dislikes The Lifeguard swiftly turned an enjoyable afternoon in the pool into a very bad experience. I have never been asked to leave a pool in the Vendee or France in general due to my swimming shorts, on the excuse of a filter issue with is utter rubbish as they cope with more hair than that fibres off my shorts. We have stayed at campsites before in St Jean de Monts and this have never been raised. He allowed zero leeway apart from pointing to a picture on a post. It really wound me up and ruined what should have been a relaxing day.
