General terms and conditions
• Reservations
Your booking will be confirmed by e-mail a couple of days after it has been made. A booking at an RCN Holiday Park is final once you have received the confirmation from that park. The confirmation is also proof of the booking. If you have indicated a preference for a pitch, it may be changed if unforeseen circumstances or necessity compel us. This will, of course, only take place in consultation with you.
• Payment
You must pay 50% of the amount due within two weeks of receipt of the confirmation. The balance must be paid into our account at least one month before your arrival.
• Arrival and departure
You can occupy rented accommodation after 3 pm on the agreed day of arrival. The key should be returned to us before 10 am on the day of departure.
You can occupy your pitch after 12 pm on the agreed day of arrival. It should be vacated by 12 pm on the day you leave.
•Your pitch
You can pitch the following on one of our pitches:
One bungalow tent or one trailer tent or one caravan with awning or one motorhome.
Plus a maximum of two small tents.
•Your trailer-chalet
If you're renting a chalet or trailer-chalet in France, you're allowed to pitch a tent as well (as long as the max. number of people for the accommodation (four or six) isn't exceeded.)
•Accommodation end-of-stay clean-up
You can opt to do the end-of-stay clean-up yourself or you can make it easy for yourself and let us do it for you. If you let us do it for you in 2019, it will cost € 38 in the Netherlands and € 43 in France. If you take a pet with you on holiday, an end-of-stay clean-up is compulsory.
For some accommodation in one park, different rates and terms and conditions apply for the end-of-stay clean-up as well as any deposit. These are stated in the description for that type of accommodation.
•Groups and Young People
Groups are, of course, welcome to stay with us in consultation. If you do want to come as a group, let us know when making the reservation. A deposit may also be requested on arrival. This deposit will be refunded less any costs after the end of your stay once the accommodation has been checked.
Young people travelling alone may only make a reservation on request. They may also be asked to pay a deposit.
•Cancellation
If, for any reasons whatsoever, you are unable to use the reserved bungalow, mobile home, appartment, chalet or pitch, you are required to pay the following amounts:
more than 3 months before arrival: 15% of the agreed price
between 3 and 2 months before arrival: 50% of the agreed price
between 2 and 1 month(s) before arrival: 75% of the agreed price
less than 1 month before arrival: 90% of the agreed price
On your arrival date: 100% of the agreed price
We advise you to take out RCN cancellation insurance. We recommend you to add our cancellation insurance to your booking.
•Special offer and discount terms & conditions
Our discount terms & conditions are applicable to all our discounts and special and promotional offers to be found on the website, social media or printed material.
•Pets
A supplement is charged for any pets.
There is a maximum of two per bungalow, chalet or trailer-chalet in the Netherlands. A maximum of two pets (dog or cat) are allowed per pitch. The second pet will only be permitted on request. In certain parts of RCN de Schotsman, only one pet may be permitted (limited numbers, on request). No pets are permitted in the accommodation in RCN de Schotsman.
A maximum of one pet per accommodation/pitch is permitted in the high season, a second pet may be possible in the low season on request.
Rates for pets:
The Netherlands: € 5.50 per pet night (camping and accommodation)
France: € 5.50 per pet per night (camping), € 8 per pet per night (accommodation)
If you have been on holiday in our accommodation with a pet, an end-of-stay clean-up is compulsory.
• Switch your holiday to another RCN park free of charge
If you've already booked your holiday with RCN but you want to stay closer to home or go further afield, you can switch your holiday to one of our other parks in France or the Netherlands, free of charge. Get in touch with us and we'll help you make your choice, tel. nr: +31 85 0400 700.
• Rules for a pleasant stay for all
RCN's rules must be observed by all guests. These rules can be found in the information magazine that you receive on request.
• Liability
Recreatiecentra Nederland (RCN) is not liable for:
- damages or injuries arising from your stay at a RCN resort or the use of the on-site facilities;
- facilities and/or amenities that are out of order and/or out of use.
• RECRON terms and conditions
RECRONS terms and conditions apply to all Dutch RCN agreements. The aforementioned RECRON terms and conditions are available for perusal at the reception desk of the resorts.
• Arbitration Board
Should any dispute arise between you and a RCN resort that cannot be settled amicably, you can submit the dispute to the Recreation Arbitration Board. The Arbitration Board was set up at the initiative of RECRON (Recreatie Ondernemers Nederland). Besides RECRON, the ANWB (Royal Dutch Touring Club) and the Consumentenbond (Consumers' organisation) also sit on the board. An independent chairman will be appointed by the Stichting Consumentenklachten (Consumer Complaints Commission).
