Ruthern Valley Holidays
Peaceful camping in the Cornish countryside
Connect with the great outdoors at Ruthern Valley Holidays. Nestled in a beautiful wooded valley near Bodmin Moor, they have a selection of accommodation styles, plus a designated camping and caravan area. There is a choice of 8 timber cabins, 4 cedar wood bungalows and 3 static holiday caravans. All are fully equipped for self-catering. For the more adventurous, there are 4 glamping wigwams or 3 camping pods.
The site is in a forest with interconnecting woodland paths between the pitches and playground. Kids will love exploring the woods, building dens, spotting the wildlife and making friends with the resident chickens and pigs. Ruther Valley Holidays have a very green ethos with no streetlights, so by night the magnificent panorama of stars is clearly on view.
The Camel Trail, a 5 minute cycle away, is a sixteen mile combined walk and cycle track alongside the River Camel created from the route of the Old Atlantic Coast Express. The site is also just 10 miles from the north and south coasts and all their beach-based activities.
Ruther Valley Holidays has 26 pitches, 6 of which have electric hook-up. Facilities include solar-heated showers, toilets, laundry and washing-up facilities. Ice pack freezing available. There’s a licenced shop onsite stocked with the essentials, locally produced sausages, and Cornish goodies. Wetsuits, bodyboards and bicycles are available for hire and there’s free wifi.
