Tucked away in a fold of a valley in Mid-Wales, Gigrin Farm is a working farm that has become synonymous with red kites. Home to the Gigrin Red Kite Feeding Centre, the farm has a quiet, peaceful campsite with beautiful views of both the Wye and Elan valleys.
Situated about half a mile south of the town of Rhayader and close to the River Wye, Gigrin Farm campsite offers a variety of activities to enjoy from bird and wildlife watching to walking and hiking trails around the farm.
The quiet, peaceful campsite offers pitches for caravans, camper vans, and tent campers with and without electrical hook ups. Guests have access to toilets and washbasins at the farmyard, as well as fresh water and a chemical disposal point.
An onsite farmyard café is open for lunch and serves a delicious selection of homemade sandwiches, salads, cakes and snacks. A small gift shop sells hadmade trinkets and homemade ice-cream. Free Wi-Fi is available around the farm. Dogs are allowed, but must be on a lead at all times.
