You can use the activity booking tool in different ways:

Activity information

How do I know what is included in the activity?

Once you click into an activity, you’ll find a full description of it under the heading “Experience”. Notably, you‘ll find information on what elements are included and excluded from the price – for example transport, refreshments, a tour guide.

How do I find out the duration of the activity?

The duration of the activity is given in the section “About this experience”. To find out the different departure times before booking, you’ll need to enter the following:

  • Number of participants
  • Desired date
  • Preferred language

After booking, you’ll find the duration and departure time on your confirmation voucher.

How do I know if there are any restrictions?

Any restrictions will be noted in the “Get ready for the activity” section. We recommend that you check this section carefully before booking, to make sure that the activity is suitable for everyone in your group. This section will also help you plan and pack for the activity, to make the most of the experience.

How do I contact the activity provider?

After booking an activity, you may need help getting to the meeting point, arranging campsite pickup, or have a question about your activity. By contacting the activity provider directly by email, you will receive an answer as soon as possible.

How do I know if an activity is wheelchair accessible?

To avoid disappointment, make sure your visit or excursion is wheelchair accessible if you need it. This is generally found under the activity title in the listing of activities in an area. You will also find it once you click on the activity to see full information on it, in the “About this experience” section. If it is not mentioned, the activity is probably not wheelchair accessible.

How do I know when the activity is available?

Each activity’s page has a calendar, with available dates shown in white. The activity is either full or does not take place on the dates that are in grey.

Once you have selected your desired date, you can enter the number of participants. Some activities offer limited places, so availability may vary depending on the number of tickets you wish to purchase.

How do I book a holiday activity using Campsited?

  1. After selecting “Activities” from the top menu of the website, type the name of the region or city you are heading to in the activity search field and hit the search button to see the trips and activities we have available there.
  2. Click on an activity to find out more information about it and to check availability. You’ll need to enter the number of participants, the date and the preferred language for your activity to check availability.
  3. Click on the departure time that suits you best and click “Select” below the price.
  4. A new page opens, where you can review the summary of your booking (name of the activity, date, departure time, duration, number of participants and price) before filling in your name, contact details and method of payment.
  5. At the bottom of the page, fill in any additional information required by the activity provider. The activity provider may still ask you for your campsite details. If you do not have this information, you can continue with the booking without filling them in and provide them later. (Note that providing your campsite details does not necessarily mean there is campsite pick-up included. If there is, you will be given specific information about it.)
  6. Click on “Complete purchase” to finalise your booking.

How will I know my activity is confirmed?

Most bookings offer instant confirmation. If instant confirmation is available, it will be clearly stated under the title of the activity in the list of activities in an area, or in the “About this experience” section of the activity description. In these cases, the confirmation email and booking voucher are usually sent immediately after your order has been purchased.

In the cases where instant confirmation is not available, the activity provider will usually send a confirmation within 48 hours of the booking. But if you make a booking several months in advance, in some cases it may not be confirmed until closer to the date. You can see if this applies in the ‘Important Information’ section under your activity’s description.

If you do not receive your confirmation email and voucher when you should according to the information in the activity description, be sure to check your emails in your spam folder. If you still cannot find them, contact us at [email protected].

Does the activity voucher need to be printed?

Your activity booking voucher carries your booking number and PIN code.

Most of the activities offered on our website accept both printed and electronic booking vouchers. But please check the “About this Experience” section of the activity description, or your email confirmation, to be sure.

If mobile vouchers are accepted, you’ll have to click on a link in the email on your phone to open the mobile voucher. If mobile vouchers are not accepted, you’ll need to print your voucher to show it on the day of the activity.

Can I book several activities to do on my holiday?

Of course! However, each activity needs to be booked individually.

Payments

Do I have to pay in full upon booking an activity?

Yes, all activities must be paid for in full on booking. It is not possible to book and pay later.

Can I pay in installments or with more than one card?

No, neither payment in installments nor splitting the payment between more than one card is possible.

Can I book a holiday activity as a gift?

Most of our activities can be purchased for other people. You will need to:

  1. Fill in the billing details
  2. Uncheck the box “Same as billing details”
  3. Fill in the details of the main traveller.

However, some activities and tours require that the credit card holder be the main traveller (this is usually for security reasons).

Can I pay with a promo code?

Payment with a discount code is possible. On the payment page, you will see the option to enter the code under the cardholder details.

Click on ‘Enter promo code’ to enter your code in the box.

Payment issues

Should payment issues arise, please check that your details have been entered correctly and try again. If there is still an issue, you will need to select another method of payment or contact your bank. For security and privacy reasons, Campsited does not have access to information about why a payment is declined and cannot assist with payment issues in place of your bank.

No, it is not possible to book and pay on arrival. Payment must be made to confirm your booking.

Meeting point and pick-up

When will I be told the meeting point for the activity?

You will find information about the meeting point in the “Prepare for the activity” section on the activity page, before making the booking. Once you have booked, you will also find information about the meeting point on the booking voucher.

If you have any questions regarding your meeting point, the fastest way to get an answer is to contact the activity provider directly. You will find their contact details on your voucher. We can contact the activity provider for you, but this process may be slower.

Can I get a campsite pick-up for my activity?

If the activity involves a campsite pick-up, you will be asked to provide details of your accommodation at the time of booking. Once your booking has been confirmed, our activity provider will contact you to give you more information about your pick-up. If you were unable to provide a pick-up address at the time of booking, you can contact the activity provider later.

Changes

Can I change my activity booking?

If the activity allows it, you will be able to instantly change the date and/or time of your booking by clicking on ” Reschedule my booking “, located at the bottom of your confirmation email.

If you have any problems, you can also contact the activity provider directly, using the contact details on your booking voucher, in the section “Manage your booking”.

Alternatively, you can send an email to [email protected], including:

  • Your booking number
  • The name under which the booking was made
  • The name of the activity
  • The e-mail address and telephone number used to make the booking
  • Your request

We will do our best to help. However, changing your booking (if it is changeable), is subject to availability and may incur additional charges. We will let you know of any additional charges before any changes are made.

Can I add or remove participants in my activity booking?

Participants cannot be added to, or removed from, an existing booking online. The alternatives are to:

  • cancel your booking and book again with the new number of participants (if your booking is changeable or refundable – which will be noted on your booking voucher); or
  • create a second booking for additional participants; or
  • contact the activity provider directly to see if it is possible to update your booking (there will be instructions or contact details on your booking confirmation).

Can I update information on my activity booking?

You should contact the activity provider directly if you wish to update participant details, campsite address, dietary restrictions, etc. You’ll find the contact details of the activity provider on your confirmation voucher.

Cancellations and refunds

Can I cancel an activity booking and get a refund?

Not all bookings can be cancelled and a refund is not guaranteed. Your booking will be either fully refundable, partially refundable, or non-refundable, depending on the cancellation conditions set by the activity provider.

You will find information on the cancellation policy of your activity in the “About this experience” section, before booking. Once you have booked, you’ll find this information in your confirmation email and on your booking voucher, in the section “Manage your booking”.

If the activity allows it, you can instantly cancel your booking by clicking on “Cancel my booking”, located at the bottom of your confirmation email. We will confirm your cancellation by email. Check your spam folder or the status of your booking if you do not receive this.

Booking cancelled by the activity provider

If the activity provider cancels your booking (due to weather, covid19 restrictions, etc.), we can help you find an alternative solution. Contact us as soon as possible at [email protected] including:

  • Your booking number
  • The name and surname of the main traveller
  • The e-mail address and telephone number used to make this booking

Right of withdrawal

The legal provisions relating to the right of withdrawal in the case of distance selling provided for by the French Consumer Code are not applicable to tourist services (article L.121-20-4 of the Consumer Code).

Refunds

Not all bookings can be cancelled, so a refund is not guaranteed. You will find information about the cancellation policy related to the activity of your choice in your confirmation email and on your booking voucher.

Your booking will be either fully refundable, partially refundable, or non-refundable, depending on the cancellation policy of the activity provider.

If your booking is refundable, the refund amount will appear on your bank account within 3 to 4 working days following your request. However, the deadline may vary depending on your bank.
