10 Best Things to Do in the Poitou-Charente Region with Kids

Let’s have a look at 10 fun Things to Do in the Poitou-Charente Region with Kids so to plan the perfect camping holiday in the region.

1. See Some Monkeys

The Vallee De Singe is a monkey park in Poitou-Charente. You and your family will meet 34 different species of monkies here who get to swing freely throughout the park.

Be sure to get there early! Feeding time starts at 10 a.m. and some of the monkeys can be hand fed, so you won’t want to miss out on this experience.

If they need to let off some steam, there are several kid-friendly activities in the Vallee De Singe, including playgrounds and a farm full of alpacas, dwarf goats, black-silk hens, and more.

Perhaps the best part is that this fun and educational activity is affordable, too. Adult tickets are 20 euros while kids under 12 get in for 14 euros.

2. Check Out the Crocodiles

Crocodile Planet has 6 different tanks that house about 200 different species of animals, including caimans, alligators, and – of course – crocodiles.

The park of Le Puy Du Fou is made up of almost 30 villages, each inspired by a different time period, such as a medieval city, a Renaissance castle, and a late 1700s expedition ship.

Your children will get to use their imagination to face treacherous seas, fight Vikings, and even face ghosts.

But the real can’t-miss activity here is Cinescenie. This 1 hour and 40-minute show has 2,000 actors, special lighting effects, and 3D projections to make it come to life.

One-day tickets start at 35 euros for adults and 25 euros for children. However, if you want to witness Cinescenie, you’ll want to get a combo ticket which is 56 euros for adults and 44 euros for children.
